【For Men】The Essential Warm-Up Before Strength Training|Explained by Female Trainers

🤔 Why is warming up important?

“I’m too busy, so I skip warm-ups.”
“Isn’t it fine to just start with bench press right away?”

These are common questions we hear from our male clients.
The truth is: a proper warm-up is essential to prevent injuries and boost performance.

Especially for men in their 30s and beyond, the body tends to become stiffer with age.
Starting heavy lifting without preparation significantly increases the risk of injury.

✅ 3 Recommended Warm-Ups Before Weight Training

1. Dynamic Stretching (5 minutes)

Stretch while moving your muscles:

  • Arm circles
  • Arm swings
  • Leg swings

👉 Promotes blood circulation and improves joint mobility.


2. Light Cardio (3–5 minutes)

Do light walking or cycling until you break a light sweat.
👉 Raising your heart rate helps your body deliver maximum power during training.


3. Warm-Up Sets with Light Weights

Before handling your working weight, perform the same exercise with lighter loads.

Example: For bench press, start with the empty bar for 10 reps, then move to your main sets.
👉 This “activates” your muscles and nervous system to prepare for heavy lifting.
